Hello there,

It’s been a while since my last post here, and it definitely feels good to be back here again. Life has been a whirlwind of work and responsibilities lately, leaving me with little or no time to focus on anything else. Those who have been reading me for long know that I write daily. Though of late, much of it has been in my physical journal, like the good old non-digital days. And I love writing in diaries :).

But you know what? At times, I miss this place. Especially, when I receive email notifications like below about new readers discovering my blog.

Attracting the audience organically or keeping them engaged is no simple feat. Thanks to the advantageous SEO of Medium posts and my previous articles being linked at various places, I have been fortunate enough to gain new readers consistently.

However, with each alert of audience growth, a pang of guilt washes over me, reminding me of the need to keep my blog updated. Today was one such day when the notification arrived, prompting me to come back here.

Also, of late my mind has been brimming with thoughts about the blurring boundaries between the real and artificial. Thoughts that I would love to discuss with you about this genie named AI, which is fulfilling our command in seconds. And it doesn’t look like this genie has any plan to go back to the bottle now. It’s here to stay, blending the realms of imagination and reality for us.

Like many of you, even I find myself pondering the possibilities and challenges of coexisting with this genie and what lies ahead for us.

Recently, I had the privilege of visiting an extraordinary exhibit by Australian artist Patricia Piccinini at the Kunsthal Museum in Rotterdam. Her work forges captivating connections between diverse lifeforms, and her hyperreal sculptures delve into the possibility of harmonious coexistence between human beings, nature, and technology.

Her remarkable artistry and captivating storytelling filled me with awe, transporting me to a world of boundless imagination and whimsical fantasy. But there was something else about her creations that made me think about this ongoing war of humans vs machines, real vs artificial. I don’t know what would have been my reaction if I would have seen her creations 10 years back, but as of today, they didn’t look impossible.

Her exhibit in many ways made me realize that:

Imagination knows no bounds. It has the power to transcend limitations and create extraordinary worlds beyond our wildest dreams.

Real and imagination can coexist harmoniously, enriching our experiences and expanding our creative possibilities.

Embracing the artificial alongside the real opens doors to new realms of innovation, efficiency, convenience, and infinite possibilities.

Hats off to her for envisioning and creating such mind-blowing designs! It’s incredible how her work, most of which was created much before the AI advent, gets you thinking about connections and acceptance of a shared future.

The interplay between imagination and reality, coupled with AI, can lead to huge advancements across various domains, from art and entertainment to technology and everyday life.

Maybe it’s time for us to see some of these unimaginable possibilities come to life now with the help of technology. It’s time to embrace both the tangible and artificial to unlock new frontiers in human potential.

Here’s to what lies ahead!
